imo $40 isnt that much for something that protects you so much. go for it.

It might not be a bad idea. It all boils down too what kind of weather your going to be driving in. If your going thru puddles or slush in the winter then spend her but I've never had a prob with my iceman and I've been thru some pretty deep water holes man...hehe!!

I was going to say the same thing. Since I live in Oootah and I have had no problems with my CAI with out a bypass valve I say keep the $40.00 bones!

You'd have to be very careless to suck in water. I've been through all kinds of weather with a CAI.

Also, the bypass obstructs the flow of air so you lose little horsepower of the little horsepower you were to gain.

I'd spend $50 on an eBay CAI and paint it whatever color I wish.

yo id get the bypass, lot better to spend 40 and be safe than spend 3500 to get a new motor. i hydrolocked mine due to water being sucked in my CAI, and yea yall can call me a dumbass and all, but in the dark in pouring down rain u cant always see huge ass puddles in the road like i hit. i tried to get my car outa gear and the clutch in as soon as i could but wasnt fast enough. so bye bye to old motor and now im down 3500 plus watever its gunna cost to get it installed. be safe man
