Tires on SI wheels

I have Nankang EX-500 205/50-15 V-rated tires w/ 320 treadwear. After 25K+ miles total, 10K of that being lowered w/ 2.3 deg. neg camber in front, they still look like this:

I also concure that if you bought some nice grippy tires, you would stop driving like my mom and start driving closer to the limit of your tires once you saw what they could do.
but i am jealous that you don't have to buy tires as often as the rest of us.

hmm, i concure that you drive like my mother, 5 under the limit on straight aways in clear weather, and at the posted limit around curves, like 25 and 35 around corners when the regular limit is 50.

What I do NOT do is act stupid and try to do burnouts or donuts for no reason. I have pretty much NO extra money, so I *have* to make these tires last as long as possible. If they last me till next summer I'll be happy (they'll probably have 45K+ miles by that point).

I'll have to agree with ManiCamo. If you are wearing out the center of your tire with higher pressures you are definitely not pushing your car hard enough. I use to run 42psi all around (to protect my wheels) and I got nice even wear across my tire but also remember I push my car beyond what most people think is hard. Even with autocrossing I pump my tires to 41/39 and sometimes on slippery surfaces go down to 39/35.

My tires I keep around 34-35psi (damn that max 35psi pressure rating on these tires :fawk: ).
I have Dunlop SP Sport 5000's (205-50ZR15) on my stock si wheels. I do not think they are the best but they do provide excellent wet and dry traction. I only use them in the winter when I take my other wheels off.

But anything is better than the Michelins that can stock.

I thought that they took almost 50psi? Is 35 your recommended? I'll have to double check!
