I'll have to agree with ManiCamo. If you are wearing out the center of your tire with higher pressures you are definitely not pushing your car hard enough. I use to run 42psi all around (to protect my wheels) and I got nice even wear across my tire but also remember I push my car beyond what most people think is hard. Even with autocrossing I pump my tires to 41/39 and sometimes on slippery surfaces go down to 39/35.
