what about wiring? I'm sure everything doesnt just plug up to the stock dx.( ie vtec)

If your swap comes with a wiring harness (assuming its OBD1), you could use that. Otherwise you'd need to modify your stock harness, but I'm not sure exactly what that entails.

get a complete swap if possible. if you really have a lot of tools like u said, then thats even better... i think the hardest part of installing the gsr engine is wiring your secondaries since you have to switch a couple of wires... if you know what to do, its cake. it took me 10 hrs to do my first swap; 2 hrs taking the old motor out and putting the new motor in, 8 hrs on wiring w/ a lot of breaks yup, i found it the hardway. goodluck

u can only use the included harness if its usdm. a jdm harness would e backwords. if it comes with a jdm harness, you need to clip off 4 plugs:
1. vtec solenoid
2. vtec pressure switch
3. knock sensor
4. secondary butterfly solenoid

u need to use these plugs and hard wire them to the ecu. use your stock harness for everything else

I figured he was planning on a USDM swap cause he said it'd be a B18C1. I think that wiring harness can be used as is.
