have fun keeping proper fuel to it my friend has a gsr with a turbo and he has to fill up with 110 octain just so it runs right i dont know all the details of it but he spends $40 a tank of gas thats what makes me worried about turboing my b16a it needs 94 octain and they dont sell it around here so i have to mix. 3.5 gal of 100 6.5 gal of 91 will give me roughly 94 so i am at $24 per tank

why cant fuel just all be the same ugh

laugh all you want but i would rather spend the extra time and money to run the proper octain in my car then have it run too lean or detonate.

for example when i was running just 92 oct in my b16 there was always a little bog if you will when i finally switched it to the mix giving me 94 the bog went away and i stopped running lean.

i talk to him and find out the whole details of what he has all done but i am pretty sure its stock internals and a turbo kit with some fuel managment. i will get an explaination for you

I'm sorry dude, but he's doing something wrong if he has to run 110 just to run right... why do you think they make bolt-on kits for GSRs? Just because the motor is in a civic doesn't mean that turboing it will mess it up. Your buddy needs a tuning or something.

Yep. You guys that don't get the higher octane ( like CA ) have to compensate that with more conservative tuning.

guess you didnt read your b16 service manual...what the hell do you need to put 94 octane in your shit for???? all you are is making the car work harder to burn that shit..get on some 89 and save money.
