you make no sense h: That's what I just said but you said you overheat at idle. At idle, there is no air flowing through the radiator. That's what the fan is for. Even with a working fan, if you got a bad radiator you can still overheat.

They look as though they are about $30 from Napa, I'm not sure how much from the dealer. Probably about the same, maybe less.

Upon further review, there is also a relay that turns the fan on and off via the thermoswitch. It is possible to test the thermoswitch. You will need an ohm meter to do this.
With the engine off and cold, disconnect the plug from the thermoswitch and test for continuity. It should read open(no continuity). Now, start the car and allow it to warm up to above 189 degrees F. Test the thermoswitch again for continuity, it should now read closed.(the ohm meter will peg to zero resistance) If this checks out, and the fan motor tests fine, then you most likely have a bad fan relay. The fan relay is located in the underhood fuse box if I remember correctly. It should be labeled as to it's location on the top of the box.

Do you mean like a cup or a gallon. If it's like a cup, I wouldn't worry about it yet. If it starts to get up in the half-gallon per month range, you will need to start doing some searching. It could posibly be a cracked head, or bad head gasket. :dunno:
