my window wont close
my window wont close anymore 
i press the switch to wind it up, and half an inch from closing, the thing jams. it bounces up and down like its rebounding off something metal like.
anyone ever have this problem? i'm afraid i'm going to have to take my door panel off (HOW DO YOU DO THIS?) and take a look see because for the first time in forever, it rained in socal and my seats got soaked

there is a screw on the inside thing for your hand to close the door, and there is another screw on the inside of the door handle (where you open up the door to get out) and that slides off, and there is one more screw near the side of the dash board, its a little plastic one. then pull out then up and it will come off, its really easy.

I hear if you get some silicone spray and spray the back track it helps out a lot. My buddy does it to his '99 all the time to get them to slide better. Might work? :dunno:

no kidding....after my intercooler install i went for a test drive but it was gettin cold so i tried to roll up my window and it only goes halfway up and is all fawked up. So then i get to freeze my ass of and spend an hour taking apart my door. Now whenever my window goes all the way down and i shut the door, it manages to rattle out of the rail and i get to take my door apart. Fortunately, i've got it down to a 15 minute job now :thumbup:
any tips on taking that door panel off?

okay i just noticed you asked how to take the door panel off and i've done it like 6 times in the last month so i think i'm qualified to explain.
First you have to pull the door handle and there's a phillips screw behind it, take it out. Then there are a total of 6 screws behind your front 6.5" speaker grill. You have to pop the grill off using a flathead (there's a little notch near the bottom) take the speaker out which is held in by 3 screws.
Next there are 3 holes around the speaker each has a phillips screw, take those 3 out. In the side of the door where you hold when you open/close the door there's a little screw inside the plastic tray, you have to take that one out to.
Recap...so far you've taken out 1 door handle (the one you pull to actually open the door) screw, 1 door handle screw (in the plastic tray where you push/pull the door) 3 from the speaker, 3 more around the speaker.
Next you have to take a flathead and take your tweeter out of the corner, it just wedges in there with a little clip. You'll take the plastic piece that goes around your door handle that opens and slide it all the way back and twist it so it fits over the door handle and you can take it off. After you get this panel loose you have to unclip the power window harness near the front of it.
Then you can stick a flathead near the back of the door skin and pop the clips open and just pull it up and off the door. Be careful though cause there is another bigger clip that goes into a harness right under your power window buttons, you have to disconnect it.
That's pretty much it, just put everything back the same way and you should be set....good luck.
EDIT: The screw you have to take out of the 2nd door handle is actually the same plastic piece as the plastic power window button console. If you look down near the back where there's a hole to for you to grip onto there's a small phillips in there.
Also when you put the door on you have to put the lip of the door skin OVER the metal lip of the actual door itself and then push down or else you'll have a huge gap and nothing will line up.
