there is a screw on the inside thing for your hand to close the door, and there is another screw on the inside of the door handle (where you open up the door to get out) and that slides off, and there is one more screw near the side of the dash board, its a little plastic one. then pull out then up and it will come off, its really easy.
i have a 98, and taht info sounds like its for a 6th gen. are you talking about a 6th gen civic?
