one of my friends has a dx ek hatchback, he wants to turbo it, do you think it would be dumb to do, hes going to buy the turbo, run it on low psi, then when he saves up more money hes going to get a vtec head and beef up the internals, do you think this is dumb??? i personally dont care what he does but ive heard different opinions on it. hes going to have an ex intake manifold on it, and blah blah blah, what you guys think

 

I would get a b16 or b18c1 and build it up and when its ready dump that in first.....then save up and b00st that. Thats my .02

If your buddy swaps his motor it will be faster,more reliable and maybe even cheaper than building up and turboing a dx.Swapping really is a beautiful thing.Plus then he can turbo that motor and have the power some dream about.

yeah, I would say before he goes and dumps a ton of loot into a turbo, he should get a swap.... it only makes sense.
