I'm thinkin that i finally have all the peices to the puzzle put together.

1. I bought a transmission that was broke to start with, planning to rebuild it. The person who had it prior to me put their LSD in the tranny and when to run it without aligning the brake plate (AKA the stop ring). They chewed up the 5th / Rev. synchro sleeve set and it welded it self together (and also messed up the bearing in the case). They pulled the tranny apart to get their LSD out and sold it to me with the stock diff.

2. I got the the tranny, bought an LSD, took it to a shop who noticed the bad synchro sleeve set for 5th / rev. They told me what i needed. I went to baranco acura online and got the parts, droped them off at the shop. They called me a week later and i picked up my tranny and paid them 200 in labor.
THE PROBLEM: They never noticed the messed up bearing in the case, there for i never ordered that coz i'm a noob at trannys and didn't know any better than what they told me to order.

3. I drive the car 25 miles, notice problems with reverse since the start (due to the fawked bearing which i found out afterwords has a 1/16th of an inch of play in it).

4. I pull the tranny back out & take it to the shop, they take it apart, stare at it with thumb up ass for a while and then relize that the bearing is fawked. They tell me that they can do the labor again for free but can't help me with the parts at all.

5. I eat bullet. (have to buy more parts, including the bearing this time)
6. I bend over and take it really hard.

That is terrible. Is your LSD fawked too?

It is completely the transmission shop's fault for not fully inspecting everything if you told them too. They should at least eat some of the cost (if not all of it) for their mistake.

naa the LSD if fine..

i've been going back and forth with this shop most of the day today. It started of very calm until it came to the point where they defined "them standing behind their work means that they will continue to do labor on it for free until it's right"

Only that really fawks my life all up coz i'm the one puttin cash down the drain, i just spent another $265 on all the parts that i already bought once plus the bearing that they over loocked. They still won't admit that it was their fault for not checking that bearing.

I have billz like house payments & shit to worry about, i don't need this shit.. i'm really getting fed up.

I had never really messed with them internally until i started to learn over this past winter. I just picked up another GSR tranny that was kind of apart which seems to have a bad input shaft bearing, and some worn out synchros for 100 bux. I decided that i'll wait for the shop to finish my first GSR tranny and put that in, but in the mean time.. i'm teaching my self everything possible on this second one. I had it apart tonight & assembled it and for some reason the main shaft has end play ( i noticed that i forgot to put in the spring washer and the regular washer on the main case side). I'm hoping that once i put those part in that it will clean up the end play, but it's definatly gonna need an input shaft bearing to clean up the side to side play that it has.

I'll figure these things out!

Parts will be here friday for the one that the shop is dealing with.

So far I need bigger injectors to turn up the boost, 2.5 bar map sensor, an expensive clutch, new shift linkage, I need to finish the exhaust, my rear main seal is leaking like crazy even though it's brand new, for some reason I don't have 1st or 2nd gear, and on top of all this I think I might have destroyed ringlands again. I can't figure it out. When I blew the ringlands on my stock motor it smoked constantly out the can and exhaust, now I can't tell if it's smoke or just fumes and it doesn't smoke constantly, just intermittently every now and then. I need to get ahold of you on AIM...

Not to mention I was sold a lemon. I've had my hatch for a little under a year and the body itself is just falling apart left and right. I just want to start over...
