Default Spring rates for daily driver...

Just wondering what are the average spring rates for a forgiving ride on the street?

I currently have Eibach Pro kit springs on my civic and they ride pretty close to stock but I have no idea what the spring rates on them are.

I've been looking around and came across a set of springs that are rated at 8kg/6kg F/R spring rate and was wondering how big of a difference there is between stock, Pro-kit, and the springs i was looking at. Thanks.

anyone?

The springs I'm looking at are actually skunk 2 coilover set with threaded/matched shocks. Anyone have any opinions on the Skunk 2 coilover set? Rust?

IMO coilovers ride like shit on a civic. Period. They're ok i guess if your like a serious hardcore racer, but daily driving seriously sucks. I have Suspension Techniques springs w/ Koni yellow's, and i could not possibly be happier. Oh yea, thats with a 2.3" drop! good luck bro

If your just going to be daily driving there really is no need for threaded sleeves on a car, why are you changing? With good shocks and good lowerings springs most cars will ride and handel nice, with threaded sleeves and the right shocks this can also happen, but unless you are going to be corner weighting your car, or changine ride hight a lot there are not neccisarry on a sreet car.

I've been wanting to change my pro kits /agx combination for a while now with koni yellows and H&R sports. I've never been completely happy with the prokits since the drop is very uneven from side to side and front to back. The driver side sits just right (with the front having a good .5" gap greater then the back), but the passenger side is a good .5"-.75" higher (front & back) then the driver side. Its a very noticeable difference looking at one side of the car compared to the other side. The agx's also seem to be softening up and not controlling the 'bounce' as well as before.

I was just shopping around and came across the Skunk 2 deal which would cost about the same and was just curious if the spring rates were somewhere in the range of a bearable street ride.

Best pic that i have of the driver side.... lol- the side I am happy with.
These pics were taken last year and currently the rear looks a bit lower with pinky finger gap between tire and fender.

I figured with coilovers, if there is still a lean from side to side with all sides mounted at the same height, i would still be able to adjust them individually

The standard skunk 2 rates a lot of people consider to stiff. If your thinking about Koni's I would go with ground control's since they have a kit that will fit perfectly with the yellows.

Most Lowering springs on certian models of cars will end with the car being somewhat uneven.
