I believe any of the K20 engines could be converted to run like the JDM ITR engine, and the tranny is similar enough among them that the ones not born with 6MT could recieve it with salvaged parts, or one could simply do a tranny swap.

Of course it's not that simple, but I just threw that out there to show how similar they are.

I have no clue whos's floor you are scraping that off of. I'm just saying that Honda will change the compression .1 point and the cam timing a few thousands lift and claim a "new" engine. They've done that for years.

Functionally all DOHC 4 cylinders are functionally the same, they all serve the same function, they propel a car. So your point is moot at best. I'm not trying to argue with you, however I would like you to say that it's not the same motor.

Its a mixture of the tsx head casting, with the egr port blocked off however, it has the jdm itr style bottom end, and rsx-s cams. It has the balance shaft design from the k20a3. So technically, it's not the same as the other motors, it is a mixture of all the other motors

I'm talking K-to-K, not Honda K to one of BMW's toys or whatever other manufacturer you have in mind. That's why I mentioned minor differences, a few thousands on the cam here, a different dome on the piston there, big deal.

Of course they're not perfectly identical, but they're still very closely related engines.
