I'd wait for more reputable companies to come out with turbos/superchargers. In the meantime, if it was me, I'd tweak up the suspension to its fullest.

The K20 is 4k alone nowadays. No more money for bling bling rims or kit for you.

the key word in what i said was SAVE. considering the k20 swap is almost a brand new concept, it obviously would carry a huge pricetag. but by saving that money, you give it time to lower. well thats all i hav to say, i hav had an incredibly ****ty day

I would definately work on the wheels/suspension first. Skunk2 coils + Koni Yellow shocks (if they make them for the 7th gen), a nice rear sway bar, and some stiff tower bars all around. Pick up some 15's or 16's and sticky tires. You won't be much faster strait line, but you will corner better, which is more satisfying in my opinion. You should still have about $1500-$2000 left over. You can hit the bottle or save a little more for a turbo.

here is what i would do:
take 500-700 on suspension(springs/shocks etc)
If the car handles better then you can take coners faster and it will feel faster in the twisties

take 400-800 on light wheels and tires
Less rotating mass also helps with acceleration.Pluss nice wheels total change the look of a car

take 200-350 on better brakes
slotted rotors ,aem pads, braided lines.
You need to be able to stop after going fast

that takes care of $1100- 1850. For the rest i agree with asiandoood , wait till a more reputable company comes out with a good turbo/supercharger. you will still have the majority of you money to spend on the FI

put it into an interest bearing account until you pay off that gd civic, pull it out and deposit it on a BMW.

Interest rates are so low these days compared to a few years ago. I'd say the S&P500 is a good long term investment. It has shown an average 5-6% growth over the past...i don't know...LOTs of years
