i have the vtec motor...
the 4-2-1 header design is for midrange power? what happens after midrange does the power drop like a rock or u still get power it just starts earlier?

the 4-1 is a highend power?
a 4-2-1 header is supposedly designed more for midrange and a 4-1 more for high-end, but the difference between the two will barely be noticable.

Think about it this way: pretty much any bolt-on you put on your motor is only going to alter the powerband 0-5 lb ft in either direction... when it comes down to it, that amount of power alteration is almost impossible to feel.

IMHO, the only way to get the type of powerband you're looking for without FI or nitrous is a motor swap. You should budget a good $2500 for an LS swap, all said and done, although odds are you can manage to get one done much much cheaper. A b20 swap will probably cost you a bit more (no more than $100-200) because there are more parts to track down and you usually have to buy motor/ecu/IM/tranny/mounts/etc separately.
