Great jeorearb. Change your oil ASAP if you want to be on the safe side. When the thrust bearing goes, it usually drops a bunch of metal chunks in your oil because it's a wet bearing. If the wheels ever touched down due to the thrust bearing failure, it's likely that they're cracked. Check the compressor and exhaust wheels CAREFULLY for cracks Anything bigger than 1/16" is bad.
A close friend of mine lost his turbo thrust bearing and 50 miles later, hosed every bearing in his brand new motor. Don't let it happen to you.

I didn't notice any missing peices from the thrust bearing, it basicly split in half & was off-set around the center shaft, I'll be changing my oil regardless but we'll see what happens, i've got a few other things to take care of while it's apart & then i'll let u guys know whats up with it once i put her back on the street.

Plugs are a little dark.. but i'm sure thats from all the burning of oil goin through the cylinders.
I tore the turbo apart last night & noticed that one of the seals looks rough & there is a peice that is cracked for some reason inside.
I'm posting this pic to show you guys .. i'm in need of the medium sized o-ring in the pic & the "C" shaped thing coz it's cracked in half for some reason inside my turbo. Is there somewhere that i can get these parts or should i just order this entire rebuild kit?

At least I was right though and it was your turbo.

Glad you figured it out man!
Also, there's a place in Phoenix, AZ called Turbo & Electric that is a Garrett dealer and service shop. I went in there and they had shelves of turbos. :eek3: Their number is 800-738-8726 if you wanna see if they can get you the part you need.
