Great jeorearb. Change your oil ASAP if you want to be on the safe side. When the thrust bearing goes, it usually drops a bunch of metal chunks in your oil because it's a wet bearing. If the wheels ever touched down due to the thrust bearing failure, it's likely that they're cracked. Check the compressor and exhaust wheels CAREFULLY for cracks Anything bigger than 1/16" is bad.
A close friend of mine lost his turbo thrust bearing and 50 miles later, hosed every bearing in his brand new motor. Don't let it happen to you.
