Default del sol questions

I have a 95 honda del sol and i have drums in the rear i wanted to know if it is possible to replace them with discs and which ones would be the best ones to use, also is the b16 played out for a swap or is it the best engine to put in place of the puny B15. is the integra dash door pannel and center console a direct bolt on?

yes you can go Rear disk. 94-01 Teg or 92-95 Civic SI will bolt right on.
the B16 swap is the foundation of swaps. Nothing played out about it. But the added torque of a B18 is always welcome.
Teg dash/panel swap is not an easy project. Takes custom mounting and lots of wiring harness changes.

heh i just sold my rear disk set up for 100 lol b16 swap depends on what you want. Its a good bang for your buck swap and will take well to boost if thats the way you want to go. But if you want more NA power its not the best choice

First: yes, you can upgrade your rear brakes to disks. The swap requires the following parts from any civic/integra with rear discs: rear trailing arms, brake lines, e-brake cables, hub assmbly including rotors, calipers, pads.

Second: there are a number of engines you can fit in your car ranging from under 100 hp to over 200. A search (button in toolbar ^^^ ) will clear things up a bit. (same goes for the brake swap)

Third: blue print hurts my eyes.

Fourth: welcome to HAN :wavey: Familiarize yourself with the search button.

thank you for you responses and thanks for the welcome, I actally have an NA set up planed im really a "temple of VTEC" follower so I supposed that the B16 155 hp would be the best swap for the del sol. I might also be thinking of a B18, gsr engine now that you mention it but I really dont know if its as easy plus here in so. Cal they are very, but I mean VERY rare. thanks again

"Played out?" What the hell is wrong with you? Do you want your engine to be in fashion or something?

If you want to be a fashionable, set aside $10K and do an RB25DET swap. If you want something that works, spend $3k on a second generation B16A.

On a side note, you have a D series. There is no such thing as a "B15."

what i meant by played out is, such a common swap that is basically not even good enough or worth while doing b/c there are other things out there that I dont know about. but since it looks like it is pretty much is the best choice i figure ill go with it.
D15 im sorry type-o.
but c'mon now a nissan engine in a honda, im not saying it isnt possible, but it would be near to imposible, and really pointless.
when you say 2nd gen B16a would it be OBD compatible since my car is a 95, b/c thats what happen with my accord, I put an H22 in it but it had to be pre 96 for OBD reasons: pins, wiring, etc. so basically my question is can a 2nd gen go in my 95 (with wiring all good, and no lights turning on)? b/c I know that a 2nd gen has a better power plant i.e. higher HP and better specs.
trhank you kai for your observations.

1st gen b16 was OBD0
2nd gen is OBDI

pretty much all b16a's are right around the 160hp mark. JDM b16s have slightly higher compression, bumping the hp up a bit.
