"Played out?" What the hell is wrong with you? Do you want your engine to be in fashion or something?
If you want to be a fashionable, set aside $10K and do an RB25DET swap. If you want something that works, spend $3k on a second generation B16A.
On a side note, you have a D series. There is no such thing as a "B15."
