im thinking with camber off that much it will screw up more than just your tires, im also thinking that the drive on the strut piston will cause early wear. at the very least it may bend the piston.

i dont just mean over compression of the strut, im talking about improper drive of the strut. pneumatic equipment doesnt take well to stress.

I really wouldn't worry about things getting ****ed up with only 1.5 drop.

I have a 1.5 drop and I was using stock struts and they were fine, and I have no camber or wear problems. Get a kit if you can but your car is not going to die if you don't.

dont be so sure i had my 1.5 drop for a year and then i started having problems brand new tires worn down so that a whole tread pattern was missing from every inside of the tires..then the struts went out.. prolonged stress will eventually catch up with you...

I'm lowered 1.5, just had to shim out the back of one side and I was good to go. The rest of the wheels were in spec. You'll have to check your alignment, it can vary case by case, even on Civics with the same drop.

alignment doesnt garuntee anything... its gunna depend on what kind of wear and tear you already have.. slight camber problems are gunna make it worse if our ride is already not doing so good

civic2k2grl, wat year civic do you have?

with 7th gen they changed the suspension design, i think (not sure) they no longer use double wishbones.

when my friend got his sportlines installed on his 01 civic they said it was absolutely neccassary to get a camber kit.

juss pointing this out because the newer suspension design mite be affected differently by lowering.
