this problem started a couple of days ago. When the car is cold and I havent driven it for a while I get only about 4-6 in. of clutch play (1/4 of the clutch). Its like I have to floor the clutch for it to engage or disengage. This morning it was real bad, I only got about 2-3 in. of play and I had to slam each one of my gears in, especially reverse. I was thinking of ignoring it because I should be getting my engine this week, but its gotten real bad. What do you guys think it might be?? Is it my clutch or can it possibly be something else

 

Ok, it was really bad this morning.
Car would turn on, but it would act as if though the clutch was half way.
I couldnt put it into gear, I had to turn off the car and put it in gear.
Once in gear If I let go of the brake and the clutch it would move as if though I was giving it gas (when I really wasnt). I was going up a hill without me doing anything
