I noticed today that my passenger door sits out about 1/4-1/3" out when its closed. It latches fine, closes fine, but it just doesn't appear to be closed all the way, and I can't get it any further shut.

Some guy ran into my car the other day, but there didn't appear to be any damage other than to the rear bumper... the quarter panel seems to be untouched, and he definitely didn't hit the door. The only other thing I can think of is that one of my buddies slammed the door with something in it and somehow screwed it up. :thinking:

Anyway, if anybody has any ideas as to the possible causes or solutions to this problem, feel free to chime in.

how hard did the guy hit you? maybe he hit you hard enough to actually compress the body of the car a little so the door wont seem to close all the way. thats the only thing i can think of.

not very hard... I looked at the car, and it doesn't even look like he touched the quarter panel or taillights, just the bumper... Its possible he bent the quarterpanel inward a bit, but its so uniform it looks totally undamaged. Seems like a stretch, but I suppose its possible.
