If I called any local Honda tech, they'd point out the fact that Hondas don't have turbos and have no clue about what to say from there.

:werd: and to say ANY motor can handle a specific boost pressure is dumb. 10psi well tuned will last much longer than 6psi poorly tuned. The simple fact is that you're doing something to the motor that it wasn't intended to do... there is no set standard.

yes the blow off valve will make the sound as long as theres boost and you let off the throttle...its like a run off, where boost goes when it doesnt go into engine...keeps the turbo from stopping or slowing down, so when you get on the throttle again the turbo is still spooled...well maybe...just my take on it

At around 6psi-14psi I get a mild chatter from the BOV.......when at around 19psi it just lets out a loud woosh. I am using the HKS SSQ BOV

Do me a favor.... call honda one of there tech or service lines, ask what honda says a stock engine top psi should be............. 7PSI. i dont mean to be ignorant but i mean... no respect for people that dont give it. if you run 7 psi on a honda engine, it will be fine. you dont have to worrie about blowing the engine due to boost. no additonal engine wear.... nothing. that is a safe smart way to boost without the proper mesures taken to boost. i correct myself it is 7 not 8.... so do some reading in the phone book and call a honda dealer.

I don't even think I need to defend myself. Kai and white n slow just made my point for me.
Honda techs will or should never recommend a boost level for an NA car.

I'm too perplexed by how retarded this post is to come up with anything sarcastic, so I am just gonna answer it.

The higher level of pressure you are releasing, the more audible a blow-off valve is going to be. I hear my BOV at as low as 3psi, but at 8psi its about 20 times louder.
