I think you're referring to the PCV system and that's what confused me. h:

Well, my GSX has both a PCV and an EGR system. I'm referring to cars with both. I'm not sure if the B18 is equipped with it, but most cars do, domestic and import alike. I don't have a service manual for any cars equipped with a B18, otherwise I'd have looked it up before elaborating on it. Which I probably should have done.

On my GSX they're 2 totally different systems, and both of them connect to the intake manifold. On cars like the Ford Contour, Focus, and Mercury Mistake, it's actually built into the head, and the intake manifold gasket routes exhaust gas to each runner. I know for a fact that Hondas aren't set up like that, but if you have an EGR valve on whatever turbocharged race motor (whether it came with or without the turbocharger), block it off.

You certainly don't want to block of your PCV system, expecially since you've already fixed one of your blow-by problems with a catch can. That's about all you can do to that.

I don't believe they do either.

My old boss (dumbass) is a huge mustang guy. He points to something and says it's the EGR and says he should remove it. I said Joe that's Exhaust Gas Reciculation, you'll need that for emissions.

He looked at me, and goes why would you pump exhaust gases back into the engine. And proceeded to remove it. I went back and put my suspension back together.

For the record, neither do D series engines. Honda engines (except Josh's ) are already very clean burning, low emission engines. It's nice to hear that this ridiculous setup isn't used by Honda.

You're okay Josh, don't sweat the EGR crap.

I'm going to be getting all new rod bearings from Honda and main bearings from Summit (Clevite) as I did last time. I'm also going to get a new thrust washer set from Summit (Clevite).

I'm also considering a set of ARP main bolts. Thoughts?

if it were me, i'd get thread pitch and size measurement for all my motor bolts and ask arp if they have bolts in those size. if so order 'em.
