ARP doesn't carry main studs/bolts for the C1

I went to order main bearings/thrust washers last night and Clevite has been out of main bearings for my motor since Dec.

Now, I'm frantically trying to locate some. I called Honda, but they don't have a standard set and they're twice as much as Summit. Great... a snag....

See if you can get Calico coated bearings. They're better than the Clevites, IMO. A little more expensive, but I prefer coated bearings because they reduce friction at start-up.

I looked into the Calicos, but what brand uses Calico coating? I really need to find some main bearings fast! :nervous:

Moi? Now... why would you want to take advice from an unemployed network admin? :dunno:

My bearings were Calico brand... it's not just a coating. Most machine shops can get these for you in 1-2 days.

damit, I called my machine shop and they said it was just a coating, not a bearing brand.

That motor's so different from the normal Honda fare. But man, it's sure got some torque.
