I actually did a lot of research before I bought my rotors and I'd have to tell you not to get the x-drilled/slotted rotors. I took off my Brembo x-drilled/slotted rotors while doing this job and the drills were starting to crack after only about 15k miles.

I pained all of my calipers and brackets, but didn't get a chance to clean up the trailing arms like you mentioned. I'm usually very anal about that stuff, but I got to the point on this job where it was time for it to be done. :chuckles:

Let me know if you run into anything that you need some tips on.

Pissing contest?

I pulled my old z6 this weekend, slapped in a manual steering rack, threw a b18b in it, redid some of the exhaust, put on a new hatch cause mine was dented and starting to rust, swapped over the license plate where the bolts snapped, pulled a ZC from a 91 crx, threw my old z6 in it, and did most of it with little to no help. I think I just pissed farther...

Josh, way to go on getting that shit done. Brakes are one of the few things I hate dealing with. :yay:

Ya, I don't know what that was all about. :dunno:

I was just explaining what I was doing, not trying to be better than anyone.. oh well.

I'm ALMOST done with the brakes. I disconnected all of the lines and Teflon taped everything to get rid of the leaks. Then I rebled the lines and took it out. I did about 5 60-30 quick stops and then about 3 80-30 stops and brought it home to cool off. We'll see how she does tomorrow, but it ws pretty dang impressive from what I felt! :eek3:

E-brake cables were ordered today and they should be in by Wed/Thurs and then I'll be all done.

Thanks for the info and props guys!

What is a 60-30 and a 80-30?

The bending was a pain. I took the line off that went from the prop valve to the MC so I could bend it, cut it and flare it easier. I'm glad I did. And, like I said, I had the GSR right there so I just took the line off that I was trying to emulate. It made a great template!

The pedal is nice and stiff. I might need to adjust the bolt that goes from the pedal to the booster so that it engages higher up, but other than that it's great!

Wharbone: 60 mph to 30 mph stops. It breaks in the pads and rotors since they were both brand new.

Solracer: I missed the sarcasm in that. My bad. :goodjob:

Thanks for this bit of info. That's 2 people who've said the same thing. Hmm... Apparently, the mechanic and doood's work fabricated a bracket so that he could use the shorter GSR hatch cables and it worked. The only problem is that after we changed his pads and rotors, his calipers seized. I don't know if it was related to the p-brake cables or if it was installation error but I don't see what could have gone wrong...

Just to say, I'm pretty sure that the trailing arm bushings do not come in the hyperflex kit. You'll have to buy them seperately.

Also, did you bend the brake lines by hand or with a pipe bender? I was considering installing an ITR MC a long time ago but chickened out when I learned about all the trouble people had with leaks.
