Default I have a lot to do today

I will be doing the following:

*Rear GSR disc brake conversion with the following parts
- Brembo blank front and rear rotors
- Axxis Ultimate pads for the front
- Axxis Metal Masher pads for the rear
- Testing out the theory that you have to use GSR sedan E-brake lines or not
- Earl's steel braided lines
- GSR 1" MC/Booster (thanks Bumnah)
- '90-'93 teg 40/40 prop valve (thanks ISPJames)
- Valvoline Synpower DOT 4+ (500+ boiling point) fluid
- reflaring, rebending, cutting brake lines for the MC

*Putting on ES poly bushings on my front GSR sway bar
*Installing my Skunk2 Intake Manifold (I'll have to get a new charge pipe made)

Should be a pretty good time and you guys will get at least one DIY out of it. h:

Getting started now...

Cool, keep us posted. My conversion took me about 5 hours.....a lot of bolts were seized, so I had to pull out the MAP gas. I didn't change the proportioning valve though, back tires haven't locked up yet (knock on wood).

Well, finished today. PHEW!!

I ended up swapping the whole front hubs from the teg onto the civic so that I could use the ~10.5" instead of the civic ~9.5" rotors. h: That took some time since I had to transfer the balljoints from my Civic hubs over to the teg ones because they were brand new. h:

I do have a really good piece of info: the GSR coupe e-brake cables won't work on a civic sedan. They're about 3 inches too short...

Also, the prop valve is a BEOCH!!! They use some yellow loc-tite or something and it will not budge. I had to cut one of the lines off and re flare it.

Finally, one of the fittings on the GSR MC is completely different than the one on the civic. Luckily, I had the entire GSR right there so I could go get the fitting I needed. I had to completely bend one of those lines because the GSR MC has one place for a fitting on one side and the other on the other side. The Civic MC has both connections on the same side, so you have to redo that one line.

I'll post all this stuff up when I get some time. I'm all done, but I have a few leaks I have to take care of.

I have to say it looks pretty dang great having those brand new rotors on the front and rear.

Pics will be up soon.

Sounds great. Can wait for the pics. Which cables did you end up using?

I don't have any connected now. :nervous:

I will be getting some 5th gen civic EX sedan cables because the EH8 had discs (some if not all). I figure that would be a better candidate for a good fit considering it will undoubetly fit the car, my concern is whether or not it will fit the discs. Thoughts?

I didn't get around to doing the intake, but I think I'm going to take it to a local shop to have it polished. h:

It's really going to mess up my chage pipe positioning too so I'm a little hesitant...

I think the extra fittings are for ABS.

Mine's japanese, so I think everything is on the correct (flipped) side.
