stalling
00 dx civic just swapped jdm b16 and every now and then the car stalls whenever i'm about stop or slow down. so far i've only lowered the rpm but i'm thinkin it may be a computer problem. i have no idea. just the other night when i was warming up my car it started to idle very low than back to normal then back low and stall. thought maybe a vacuum leak but it only happened that one night. just lookin for some advice or an explanation.
Most likely a distributor problem. Defenately check into that. I had the exact same problem and just got it fixed. Word of advice...dont get it rebuilt :nono:.
Its better if you just buy one.

some things to check:
Idle speed,
Fuel filter,
Spark plug gaps,
Distributor components,
Emissions system components,
Spark plug wires,
Vacuum leaks in the fuel injection system, intake manifold, or vacuum hoses.
Valve clearances.

You swapped? Did you swap injectors? ECU? o2 sensor?
It doesn't sound to me like it's ignition related. It's more likely to be a vacuum/intake manifold or throttle body gasket leak if the car runs right at all other RPMs when your foot is on the gas.
...aside from that, Wharbone pretty much covered everything. You can't argue with the haynes manual. It's a book. For cryin' out loud, it can't hear you. So don't even try it.
