You swapped? Did you swap injectors? ECU? o2 sensor?

It doesn't sound to me like it's ignition related. It's more likely to be a vacuum/intake manifold or throttle body gasket leak if the car runs right at all other RPMs when your foot is on the gas.

...aside from that, Wharbone pretty much covered everything. You can't argue with the haynes manual. It's a book. For cryin' out loud, it can't hear you. So don't even try it.
