t25 would probably be more than id ever need, as I won't run very high boost.

also, the jdm d15b is a shorter stroke version of the d16z6, and ill probably be dropping one in my car. Anyone know what the compression on it is?

Also, you think the 6-8psi would still be safe on it if tuned right?

And, what would you pay for it?
High boost has nothing to do with the turbo itself beyond the limit where you'll overspool the turbo. The idea of getting a bigger turbo is to flow more volume so even at the same pressure you can make more power. Also that looks a bit bigger than a straight T25, maybe a small T3 or T28 to me.

You could easily run 6-8 psi daily if it was tuned right, i ran mine at 8-10 with the afc hack tuned around 12.5:1 across the board. I also don't like the idea of running a FMU. Either get a SAFC at minimum or another standalone (greddy emange, basic hondata or if you have the cash AEM EMS)

I run hondata, I costs more, but is worth it. Remeber to add in the extra 200 for tuning

I ran a 14.89 with a T-25 with a stock 8.5:1 compression 2.0L 4g63. That T-25 maxes out around 14PSI, and the charge air is hot at that pressure. It won't heat the air up as bad at 6-7 PSI. It's more efficient at 10-11 PSI than it is at 14, but the biggest gains you'll achieve are going to be had from an intercooler.

It's actually well suited for SOHC Honda engines because they just can't spool larger turbos with any efficiency. You're better off getting the boost low in the power band and milking it to red-line than you are waiting for a bigger turbo to spool to get that huge kick in the pantys just before having to shift.

As far as injectors are concerned... someone buy my DSM 450's please... I upgraded to RC 550's, and have 4 perfectly good working 450cc injectors laying around. I also have a 2g DSM side-mount IC, someone buy that, too. Just buy all my crap. Please. It's not doing me any good just sitting in the garage.

That's absolutely not true, there are plenty of turbos bigger than a T25 that a SOHC can spool easily and make a good powerband with i.e. T3 super 60, T3/T4 50 trim with a small hot side a/r, T28.

That's fine, there are turbos out there that are larger, and CAN spool ALMOST like a T25, but none of those will out-spool it... and certainly not for T25 money. Sure, they'll move more air than a T25, but you have to get them to do it first. As far as the small hot side is concerned, have you actually seen the inside of a T25's exhaust housing, or the exhaust wheel? Tiny. It's nicknamed the T-2-small for a reason.

I see your point, there are lots of other options. I do think it a T25 would be a terrible drag turbo; however, it's an autoXer's delight. It would be great on the street because it would boost almost instantaneously. It all depends if you're trying to be "the man", or just make your car run like it's got a set. I still really think the T3/T4 housing is overkill for a SOHC Honda engine. That's my opinion. You can disagree with my opinion any time you want.

Has anyone determined if that's a T25 or a T28? Any shots of the compressor wheel? They look identical except for the compressor wheels. Here's my old T25 setup in case anyone cares to compare.

That's exactly what i said, it's too big to be a T25. Wise words from the mouth an actual T25 owner
