Coilovers let you adjust your ride height with a threaded bottom.

There are 2 types of coilovers.

1. Sleeves - These go on a shock. (good brands - Ground Control, Skunk2)
2. Full - These have built in shocks (good brands - Tein, JIC)

I have never heard of the springs that come with the kit though.

Just so you know, those are springs that come with them, not coilovers. The way it is worded in the description looks like the springs and shocks are both adjustable, but they aren't. Only the shocks are adjustable.

Actually there is only one type of coil over... the ones your car came from the factory with , everything else are threaded bodies or threaded sleeves to be technical (its a pet peeve of mine... sorry )

It is true that threaded sleves or threaded bodied shocks ride stiff than lowering springs as lowering springs a generally progresive rate springs where threaded have linear rate springs.

That Tokico kit looks fine for street use and occasnial auto-x use, if you are going to auto-x or hpde more seriously you might look for something else, or by these now and go ground control sleves later.

I don't follow you. You are saying stock springs and shocks are called coilovers?

To be techinalcal yes, honda's (double wishbone suspension Honda's) come with coilves overs from the factory, the coil spring is over the shock - coilovers there just not adjustable and most people understand that when you are talking about putting coilovers no your car you are talking about thread sleeves like ground control.
This rose out from when most cars did not come with coilover shocks and a performance up grade was to add "coilovers" to these cars which where either threaded sleeves or threaded bodied shocks.

Coilover just means the coil spring is mounted over the strut. It's a name that probably got associated with people converting older style suspension like leaf springs over to a 4 link setup would use these type of shocks. You would only do a converstion like that for a performance application so they'd get adjustable setups and they were called coilovers, the names just sort of stuck. Technically, Macpherson suspensions are coilovers too.

Tokico also makes an adjustable setup. I don't personally know anybody using it, but imagine it's a quality piece.

I had considered the package that was linked above but I decided to go with my progress group springs insteadl.
