Default Idle problem

Ok this started happenning, last night. I took off and I was going about 5mph then the car just stalled but the clutch was in. And it happened again this morning :wtf: Then my car idles from 900 to 1200 RPM's when I'm a complete stop. If I'm going at a constant speed (40 mph, 3000 RPM) then the RPM's will drop as if though I put in the clutch and let it out real quick. I think it might be my injectors, but I'm not sure. What do you guys think??

Sounds to me like a sensor or a vac is no good . Take a look at everything and make sure all vacs are hooked up . Do you get a CEL ? If so what are the codes ?

True, sometimes the secondary O2 sensor will be giving bad readings, consequently the ECU will be adjusting the air/fuel ratio. So if the O2 sensor is constantly giving incorrect readings, that would cause your idle to increase and decrease w/o warning.

Check for cracked or broken vaccum lines. That has most often been the source of my problems in the past.

Good luck

could also be a bad Idle Air control Valve...from what you are saying that would be my best guess, but yeah like Honura said...you throwin any codes? also what year is your car..cause that will dismiss or affirm the second o2 sensor theory
