I am fine with 17 Axis w/ 205/40/17, and has 40 offset. no rub, I used GC and Koni.
the ride is even worse when I used 16 with winter tire.
But yes the car slow abit cause the rims.
I think 18 is a little too big for civic, IMO

anyway, the rims (Axis 7) are for sale, because of the flakes bidder on ebay.

I keep hearing people talk about bending their rims. Man, what kind of roads are you driving on? I've had 17" wheels, with 40 series tires on my cars for years, and have never bent a rim (knock on wood). I guess Georgia has decent roads afterall.

the roads are awesome down south.....once i hit about maryland i didnt see any trouble through daytona beach. up here in the north, the cold winters cause water under the roads to freeze, causing bubbles in the pavenent, cracks, and potholes. sucks ass.

My friend has Motegi MR7s on his 00 SI. 215/35/18 if I recall correctly.

I told him that he had to rub w/ 215, but he said it wasn't anything a rubber mallot didn't take care of.

Going into atlanta the roads suck! I had 17's and they hit some big bumps, no bends though.

Same here but not to many peeps have their cars slammed like ours

Get some 18's if your not to low But your on the wrong board to be askin this. These guy's prefer performance over show and 18's are most def show...I would have gotten 18's but my insurance made me get Parada's and I couldn't find em in a 35 seriouse tire

Most of the northern state's roads suck because of winters and plows chewing up the road, the roads expanding and contracting from the different temps. Down south the roads only get hot and warm And you guys barely get any snow.

Midwest winters does hell on the roads....those big snow plows that chip up the asphalt don't help neither I bent a set of Konigs...now that's damn hard to do h:

Even if we take them off for the winter and put the stock on...once spring rolls around, the roads are still shiat. Then all summer the construction is everywhere and it's even worse
