i was out tonight w/ some friends, and a friend of mine is selling 100 shot of NOS for $300, i have DX, would it be worth the money, or should i just save the money adn go with something else?

 

take the kit, get a different nozzle. Make it a 50 shot, and you're can run it if you do a few other things to get some nice power out of it.

 

well i really dont know anythiong about NOS, always didnt like it, but i have NO power in my DX, and at this point, ill do anything for some power.

 

its nitrous oxide(n2o) not nos. nos is a brand name.

 

a 100 shot of nitrous will quickly damage and/or destroy your dx engine (doubling power output with no safety measures is a no-no). Go with a smaller shot, and use sparingly. But sure, if you want an easy power fix, nitrous is probably the way to go.

pretty sure its just a smaller nozzle for the pump. I'm sure you can buy a different nozzle from NOS. I'd assume its somewhere between $15 and $30, but don't quote me on that.

 

alright, so do you think its worth the 300? i might be able to talk him down a little bit, but im not sure.

 

I think a full nitrous setup from nos usually costs around $500 or something, so yeah, thats a pretty good deal, but definitely try and talk him down.

As far as if you SHOULD do it. Thats up to you. Just remember that using nitrous can significantly shorten the life of your engine. The more you use it, the more damage it will do. But as far as bang/buck, it cant be beat.

I'd say nitrous your dx engine, and when it gets damaged and old, replace it with a real engine (you know what i mean)
