I think even 17's are too big. Get some 16's and save some money.

15". Go 16" if you have serious brake plans.

SEVENTEENS. OK, 17's. easy as that. go with 205/40/17 inch tires.

they will look great, and if you dont drop your civic over 2 and 1/2 inches, you wont have to worry about rubbing.

LMAO!!! I rubbed on my 17's with no drop!!! It's all in the offset and tire width. Just stick with 15's or 16's and slam the thing...

Well, even though the ride on 18" wheels aren't that bad as most folks think, the problem lies in the width of the wheel/tire combo. Majority of the 18's that are made for the sport compact market are 7.5" and the tire that you mate with that width is sized 215.

Now even though you do get an 18" wheel that has a +42mm offset, you would rub. Even if you don't lower the car and leave a two-finger gap between the tire and the fender, you would rub just hitting bumps and whatnot during normal driving.

So unless you're planning on using the 18's as show wheels, I wouldn't recommend it.

I had 18s, 17s, 16s, and now 15s (you can see the trend). Most wheels are not bad as long as you have a nice suspension. Only problem I see with 18s is that 1) they are heavy which slow your car and kill you mpg, 2) tires cost an arm and a leg, and 3) easier to bend those 18s.

17s look great, but KILL ACCELERATION at the track, and also, watch out for every little pot hole you see, or you'll be crying at your $1000 investment! (get 5 if you can afford it!)
