I forgot this site even existed... I was just going through all the forums I could think of trying to find a used JRSC. I just kinda stumbled in here, so to speak....

Haha, well you might find yourself in luck...this site has a sale forum that moves faster than a hyperactive kindergardener on a sugar high. I posted a thread once looking for a Teg gauge cluster, and when I went to check it the next day it was buried 4 pages down!

I saw a JRSC go for $1100 bucks on ebay. If I didn't have to do timing belt, clutch and other stuff, I'd just on that.

I promised an update on Friday. Yes, today is Saturday. So at least we're all in agreement that I'm lazyass slacker.

But all I can say now is where the hell is my camera!? So, uh, yeah, as soon as I can find it, you'll get some spiffy new pics of the Mk.1 prototype set in my test cluster under different lighting conditions (OEM bulbs with and without the blue condoms, as well as the LEDs). Now I've long since abandoned the Mk.1 set in favor of the Mk.2, (such a clever naming scheme, eh?) since I'm no longer restricted by the use of indiglos as a lighting source, but I don't yet have any Mk.2 sets printed out, so it's the set you all have seen already, only being lit up in a different way.

The Mk.2 has these improvements:
- Print resolution will be doubled (quality = 2x from Mk.1)
- Support for cars with ABS
- Support for cars with a VTEC light
- Support for automatic Sols
- 140mph speedo availably upon request
- Other stuff I can't remember without having the two in front of my face

So now, back to the search, with a proper update to follow! :wiggle:

Unfortunately the needles will need to be removed, in order to get the OEM faces off and out of the cluster. Now I could make mine so they slip on easily like indiglos, but since the needles will be off anyway, I might as well do it right.

And one can't just slip mine over the OEM faces, because, well, that would be useless.

...WTF happened to my camera!?!? :upset:
