hey ox how can i find out what the absolute zero is on my speedo if i took the needle off. i didnt lift it over the nub and let it wind out, and now my gauge is alittle off. do you think all of the sols absolute zero is about the same. if so where should i put the needle back on so i can have it back to normal. please help. right now it says im going faster than i really am.

I have the solution to the lighting problem. 
Professional lighting gels. No need to worry about ghetto color layer action.

It's sold in sheets of 20" x 24". Each sheet is only a couple bucks, and could do a crapload of clusters. They also sell "diffusion" filters, which should even out the lighting rather well.
I'd use an entire diffusion gel (cut to shape) as a backing sheet and attach bits of colored gel to it.

Didn't know about the needle trick, mayhaps it'll come in handy when I do some testing for my custom DC2 Teg gauges.
