Default paint for headers

Hey.. I just gotta 98 dx hatch... I oven cooked my head lights.. and blacked them out... If you wanna paint your headers, black.. Dupli- color makes a high gloss engine enamel that has ceramic in it... rated for 500 deg. Im not sure.. but if ya try hard... i think they make a black chrome paint thats for engines.. (that would be blingin') Later-lou

Hey RicerRay,

I am planning on doing the same. What exactly did you end up doing (and using)? How well did it work?

i don't think head light housings count... it doesn't stand up to the test compared to a header. i ended up primering my housings with Krylon and painted them flat black. still beautiful to this day!!!

how many layers did you paint? i used some cheap high temp. paint and sprayed just enough to cover the header. most of it held up, but the areas that had more over lay ended up flaking.
