I have 97 Prelude. My temprature slide is v.hard. Its not the console, its the actual cable that connects with the console. Can someone let me know what makes the cable so hard? and how to fix it?

 

When you take the radio out, under the climate control, you will find that the cable is secured into place with a metal plate with a screw, if you loosen the screw, you can adjust the cable to your liking, make the adjustment, re tighten the screw (tight, otherwise the cable may move) and test it, continue to do this until you are happy.
