I'm not arguing the fact that every home owner has a right to protect themselves and their family. At all. I may not be for guns at all.. but that's my own belief. I have no right to tell my neighbor what to do when it comes to the safety of his or her family. I'm arguing the effectiveness of a gun in the hands of someone scared. I mean look at it this way.. A kid sneaks out of his house to go meet up with his or her friends with out wanting mom and dad to know. Dad's a gun nut. Kid gets wasted and forgets keys and tries to break into his own house. It's dark. Dad hears noises.. senses a threadt and grabs his gun. BAM Dad shoots to kill "intruder".
Asses the situation first. That's all.
