TSX SI? Why have I not heard about this through all the normal channels? The Civic SI is coming out but I dont want a civic.
The Civic Si is already out; and I've test driven one. I'm not so sure about the throttle-by-wire thing, at least in that car. It has "throttle hang," which evidently is directly related (anti-smog crap). You can read my "drive review" post over on the Civic forum.

Anyway...

Yes, an "Si." I'm trying to confirm if this is the "A-spec." I'll keep you posted.

Any yes, you were right about the weights too. I didn't realize the IS and the TSX were SO close in weight. For whatever reason, I had it in my mind that the TSX was at least a little lighter... I definitely dig the IS300.

Confirm with who I hope it's not the dealer. Either way, it's not getting the 2.3 turbo as of now

Edit: it makes no sense for Honda to put 'Si' on anything other than a Civic, nor does it make any sense for a luxury marque to sell a 'stripped down' version of a luxury car.

I agree, but it would be awesome if they did sell a stripped down version.

Running a search in Google on "Acura TSX Si" returns this:
http://www.edmunds.com/insideline/do...ticleId=107881

I'm still waiting to see if this other guy can confirm what he's telling me.

And no, the A-spec really doesn't have any performance upgrades other than a new higher flowing dual-outlet exhaust.

And I can see that if they wanted to play up the racing successes (which the TSX is definitely having), that they might want to try and offer a stripped down version. Though I might add that "stripped down luxury" is an oxymoron I should think.

A-SPEC is weak. Acura said 2 years ago they would expand the lineup by offering real performance upgrades instead of body kits and suspensions only...nothing so far.

It was/is NOT a TSX Si after all. The guy was just saying, as an option, that there is will be a Civic Si 4-dr sedan coming in the fall.

http://automobiles.honda.com/civic_si_sedan/index.aspx

I can't imagine this one being any better than the coupe. I didn't like it.

So, we're back to where we were in the conversation.

I dig both the IS and the TSX; but I'm hearing that neither would be an ideal choice for AutoX. <argh....>

I'm realy liking the dark (graphite) gray or whatever they are calling it.
