I completely understand about not wanting to track the M to avoid any kind of mishap. Unless I were filthy rich (and I'm not), I'd do the same thing you're doing. Truly would not be any sort of a hardship for me to have an M3 for daily driving and autocross purposes...

Good luck with the suspension mods.

Hey DakarM,
Don't apologise! I very much appreciate your input. FWIW, I've already decided that when I get coilovers for my M3, they'll be double-adjustable. I am open to DAs. However, I can't find any koni DAs online, and without prices, I can't make a decision.

Now more questions for everyone:

I don't know enough about the GC sleeves. I do know that I can get the GC sleeves and koni yellows for $339 + $600 = $939. Or I can get a koni coilver kit for $1299. What does that extra $360 buy me?

Also, is it worth considering coilover kits from companies like APEXi, B&G, Cusco, D2, H&R, JIC, Tanabe, Tein, etc.? With the exception of H&R, I know nothing about those companies.

Thanks again!

Get the DAs from TC Kline: http://www.tcklineracing.com/shocks.htm

They are a bit pricy but TCK also revalves them. For the M3 many agree that the stock DA valving is a bit too soft.

For the M3, I'm pretty sure I'm going with Ground Control's DA setup. Tons of E46 M3 guys have them and rave about them. For the price, they really can't be beat. $2000 buys you DA Konis (made to GC specs), Eibach springs, camber plates, bump stops, rear shock mounts, and all misc parts (so you don't have to reuse any parts from the stock suspension).

But back to the GSR (for a second, I thought this was roadfly ). It was for the GSR that I mentioned that I couldn't find any DA Konis. Any links for that?
