Also the owner dude works at a shop right? So it's a bit of a shop car.

I should say that I hate slow show cars that don't drive well and have tool owners that actually daily drive them.

No, the diewed works for a magazine. He hasnt installed a single thing on his car, and he claims hes a crazy drifter, yet its never seen track time. To hate you, you gotta know the 240 scene..its hard to qualify why it sucks.

Prob. because he hates on the people who have skill, and theyre cars are all go.

The big no-no with the 240SX is bandwagon jumping. If youre labelled a bandwagon jumper, you are as good as shunned.

3 years ago, this guy was dragging his ABS plastic kitted, NOS'd KA24DE powered 240SX.

Then drifting hits, and woah, S15 face, JDM Advan rims, SR20 motor, and incessant KA24 hating.

Its hard to explain unless you know the 240 scene etc., but thats why he's so disliked

One of the articles linked to on his site mentions he works at some shop, Vspec performance. But yeah I do remember way back on the 240SX.org gallery he had a purple and white leather interior.

But the car itself ain't so bad. Yeah it's got a ricey body kit (even if it's JDM) and it's covered in stickers but it still makes 300 hp. I'd lose the body kit and stereo but the mechanicals are solid.

This VW that I linked to, I don't know of the guy but I look at the car and find it to be monumentally stupid because it's probably slower than when it was stock.

He doesnt do shit at Vspec performance except bug the dudes. Never mind the Vspec doesnt exist anymore.

That Bomex kit is anus molded in fiberglass.

It shouldnt make 300hp, considering all the crap hes got on it. I mean, the baseline is 250whp...shouldnt he be making more...

:werd: you know youre rice when you mod your car and its slower than stock

But anyway about VWs sucking and having nothing to do with this 240 guy you don't like:

I still fail to comprehend what is cool about a 10" rim and a 235 mm wide tire. But the fanboys seem to worship it.

I wouldn't even be talking because there is like 10 times more ricers with Hondas then their is with VW's. For ever 1 VW there's 10 ricers and ALL OF US ON THIS BOARD AND ALL HONDA BOARDS KNOWS IT! Big deal, wider rims than normal. Better than body kit, stock motor on chrome 13s...

Dimi and others who are like, "so what it's got wide wheels": I think you're missing my point.

There are a shitload of Honda-driving ricers. I'm not one of them and I'm not part of their "scene," to use the term which I have grown to despise. That doesn't really matter, and I'm equally critical of them.

My problem is not so much that this car exists--even though it does suck--but that everyone else with a VW seems to think that it's the way to go as far as styling is concerned. As in around here the cool thing is JDM and if some really JDM'd out car gets posted everyone sweats its nuts. While I can definitely say that a lot of the JDM stuff is pretty pointless (check out my JDM clock y0) it at least doesn't make the car any less driveable.
