just save the other thermostat and switch it back when you move out.

This would be the big money saver for me. By the time I realize I need to adjust the thermostat I'm already in my office.

Had a programmable T-stat in South Carolina, we could set it and forget it, if we were home we would just override the settings. We also had the lowest heating and cooling bill in the subdivision.
Right now we have ours set at 68 during the day and 64 at night, no A/C here, would only need it for a total of 2-3 weeks a year, not worth the 7500 install price.

Yeah -- I would definitely use this feature to change the temperature when I am in bed.

Just throw on an extra blanket, cheaper than heating the house because the bedroom is cold.

So I bought it, and I realized my apartment uses high-voltage (or at leas the wires out of the wall are of a really large gauge). I didn't want to mess with the wiring so I just returned it. At the end of the day, $250 is a bit much and I don't expect to see myself getting that back in 2 years.

thanks for the tip.

monthly reports are pretty cool...

our heating was on 47 more hours than last month. 56 due to the temp outside, but we were more efficient with our settings, saved us 9 hours of heating.
