I don't know anything about UT.. but I doubt the cost of living is anything like in the NJ area.
And yes I have met a mormon. Actually 2. But what does that have to do with anything?

I go to school 5 days a week (16 credits) and work 4 days a week (~30 hours). I've been supporting myself for ~4 years now, but fortunately for me, my parents are nice enough to cover my tuition. I still have to pay for books, fees, etc. I make relatively decent money for a part time job, and I don't have a whole hell of a lot of extra money at the end of the month, after rent, bills, etc. For someone working less than me and having to pay for their own tuition, I could see where that would be a royal pain in the ass. I think he was right in getting the money from his dad...whether he is an adult or not, obviously there was a prior agreement arranged with his dad that he skipped out on. THAT is the shitty part about it.
