As for your engine just get a comp check and if its good you should be ok. Upgrade the injectors and get some kind of engine management (hondata) and you will be able to run higher boost on your stock motor. Later on down the road you can build your block for more boost.

One quick question, what- in your opinion- makes the Greddy kit such a waste of money and time? For us CA people, who have to appease the smog nazis, the Greddy is the only kit with a CARB EO number. :happysad:

:dunno:

That's an informed statement.

Rather than bring drama, how about you back up your opinion of a brand with facts...oh, I forgot, you don't know any.

What's wrong with the GReddy kit? It's a little pricey? The intercooler is optional? For what you get once you buy the intercooler it's a pretty damn complete solution in terms of bolt-on reliable power.

One of my buddy's friends with a 99 gsr ran 12.9 with a little modification at 10psi, I believe. Not bad, IMHO.

Precisely my point.

If I go FI, I consider the amount of time & money Greddy spends on the tuning and setup well worth the premium.

Granted I'd have a block guard installed (correctly) as well.... so- crucial & txhatch - what is "wrong" with their systems, other than somewhat higher prices?

The greddy kit comes with everything you need....bolts up without modification. Every piece is quality. The reason most people don't like it, is because it doesn't make quite as much power as other kits that use a bigger turbo...that's all.
