Blah. College.
So I have to write my college essay today. Yes, I was given three days to write an essay that will effect the rest of my life. It sucks. Anybody wanna chime in? I've gotta write about these three questions...
Who am I?
Where am I going?
Why am I here?
Currently my replies are, I'm Jon...I'm going to watch some football soon...and I'm here because HAN is the shit and I don't feel like writing my college essay.
I think that might get me in to college...

to write good college essays, try to show some contradiction, or multiple sides of an arguement. that works for me. like make two sides of a story and write about those two sides. like for 'where am i going', say ' i'm going to college graduate from college if i can put my mind to it' and blah blah blah, then say 'i will not make it if i slack off, which i wont do' blah blah blah.
how long is this supposed to be anyway?

Tell a condensed version of your life story in some kind of creative tone that doesn't sound like "your typical college essay." Make it seem like the shit you've done and the shit you want to do is a big deal.
Unless of course you want to be an engineer and then you don't need social skills.
Oh and don't worry about it so much, the people here at college aren't all braniacs or something. The entrance standards at your typical university are not nearly as high as the guidance counselors and your parents would have you believe. Not to say that you shouldn't try but don't stress out and think that the whole rest of your life hinges on a stupid essay.
