What do? v. TPMS
Alright,
So I'm running some errands at work today, and my TPMS light pops on. This is odd, as I've never seen it before, but I have had low tire pressure at times in the past. I have only seen this light pop up:
Now I've got the "TPMS" on. I didn't even know my fit had a TPMS light. (Why does it have both?) So I pulled into a Chevron and filled up all the tires. The lowest was 30 psi (I think tpms kicks on at 28) and I filled them all up to 40 psi. And the light stayed on. In the past when I had the low pressure light seen in the first picture, the light would go off as soon as I put some air in.
What do? Faulty tpms sensor? I've got about 8,XXX left on warranty, so it picked a good time.
I just hope I don't have a leaky tire. I have a 70 mile round trip commute to work, and about $40 to my name until Friday.

Reason 46 of why I hate most new cars, especially ones with things like tire pressure sensors.

I'm just wondering why my car has a low tire pressure indicator as well as the "TPMS" indicator. :dunno:
Well, they were around 30psi when the light came on. Definitely not overinflated.
I pumped them up to 40psi to be safe, and the light stayed on. Max pressure listed on my tires (the stocks that came new on my fit) is 51psi. I used two pressure gauges to check.

The TPMS or the (!) light? I've had low pressures about 2 times prior to this and the (!) light came on. I'm not sure I understand the difference between the two notifications.
