Check your spare tire too. It may have a TPMS in it.

Otherwise it sounds like you may have a dead battery in one of your TPMS sensors.

Sounds like a bad tpms. The exclamation light will come on when pressure is a certain designated amount below manufacturers recommendation. The other light will come on when there's a problem with the system. I didn't put tpms in my works. Left them in my stock wheels. I drive with the light on. However, exclamation light will go off after a few miles at the recommended pressure.

The TPMS or the (!) light? I've had low pressures about 2 times prior to this and the (!) light came on. I'm not sure I understand the difference between the two notifications.
They're one in the same, no?

Thanks. I'll give the dealershit a call after the 4th.

Two separate lights, with what seems to be two different notifications.

That is badass

In the TL, it tells you the PSI of each tire too which is definitely helpful.

i kind of like the new altima. hopefully the interior isn't anything like the old ones.

and wtf, is it that hard to measure the psi yourself?

Usually, no. But at night when using air at a gas station without your own PSI gauge, it can be a little tough

all vehicles manufactured after 2006 are federally mandated to have TPMS systems. Most companies put them on prior to 2006, but anything built afterward is required. One light is for low tire pressure, and as stated before, the secondary ! is a fault in the system. There is no reset button for TPMS, they reset after a few miles on their own once they see the required range of psi in the tire.

Not really contributing but I hate new cars with all these sensors and gadgets.

I'll stick with my vacuum-hosed, cramped, finicky MR2, thank you. Whose only dashboard light is usually the battery. :/
