There is no reset button for TPMS, they reset after a few miles on their own once they see the required range of psi in the tire.
It's gotta be a faulty sensor. The pressure was (not too) low so I filled it up to 40psi, and it still hasn't gone off. Guys on fitfreak are putting upwards of 55psi (51 is max) in their tires for hypermiling. I'm already getting about 39mpg on the interstate going 75, so 40psi is my limit.

I'll stick with my vacuum-hosed, cramped, finicky MR2, thank you. Whose only dashboard light is usually the battery. :/
I'll stick with reliability and being able to put my money where I want to rather than where I need to.

the TPMS light in the G35 would CONSTANTLY turn on intermittently (if that makes sense).

i brought it to the dealer multiple times and they told me its not the sensors. i got aggressive and they finally took all sensors off the wheels and found one to be broken. cool story bro.

sounds like a great way to create unsafe handling and easily blown tires.

Google it.

From what I've read, blown tires happen much more often from under-inflated tires rather than over-inflated. I'm not condoning what they do. Putting my tires over the "safe" psi limit would mind-fuck me. They pull some crazy mpg numbers though, of course with other variables involved.

Regardless, I don't ever push it over 40psi. And the damn light kicked off today, after 200+ miles of it on at the same pressure.

I don't hypermile. I was just referencing tire pressures to those that do.

And one simply doesn't have fun in a stock Honda Fit. At least, not driving it.
