Yeah but you get every game ever made and with the chip you never have to buy any new Xbox or PS2 games you rent them and save them to the hard dirve how can you say its not worth it. with PS2 all you get is just the dvd playback with x box you get all that and more. their is no equal.

PS2 + DVD burner + PS2case.com = alot easier to rip than xbox games.

to properly rip a game, you need to mod the bios, flash the chip, install, then ftp the xbox, then connect to an existing network, then compile and burn the data, then pray to god that your xbox laser will accept the dvd / cd-rw.

or ... you could install a 100gb+ hard drive, rip the game to that, then play ... but you still need to mod the bios, flash the chip, install, install a new dashboard

if this is your first system ... the PS2 is the way to go.

no ... there are alternate bios' out there inorder to get the xbox working properly. the creator of linux is offering 1 million dollars to the first person to run copied games on an unmodified xbox console using altered boot sequences or flashing the bios from the dvd rom.

they want the xbox to become linux box's.

Elder Scrolls III : Morrowind

I've personaly put in over 150 hours, with just 2 different characters. Incredible depth and replayability. Its a truly hardcore RPG, one that I'll continue to pick up and play even a year and a half after I got it.

Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic

Very final-fantasy like, with a turn-based (yet active) battle system. Hard to explain, but works very well once you get used to it. Character development is active, ever changing, and different each time you play through. Going pure darkside is fun as hell, IMO.

There are several other half-assed RPGs for the 'box, but these two are excellent games that I'll always vouch for. And let's not bring up the visuals or the smoothness

Please don't say FFX. The last good Final Fantasy was VII...after that, they're
